Children’s Church Universe is a faith-based entertainment and learning world centered on Black children discovering their voices, developing their gifts and understanding their place within faith, family and community.
The church becomes a living creative world where music, comedy, friendship, questions, traditions and generational wisdom meet. Children are not treated as background characters in an adult story—they lead the stories, make choices, face challenges and help shape their community.

Age-appropriate themes of purpose, confidence, service, community, emotional growth and using one’s gifts.
Culture + Legacy
A celebration of Black church culture, musical traditions, family connections and the people who keep communities moving.
Music + Performance

Children’s Church:
The Gospel Jam
A spirited youth choir prepares for a performance that could help bring the energy—and the people—back to their church.
Led by their choir director and youth pastor, a six-member choir, praise dancer and energetic church band work through self-doubt, generational differences and the pressure of a big performance. Through contemporary gospel, traditional church sounds, African percussion, humor and heart, they learn that their gifts matter and that their voices can move a whole community.

Makiya originates the universe, writes and shapes its stories, leads the overall creative direction and develops the music-led identity connecting the animated property, publishing and future experiences. Specialized artists and production partners are brought into the process as the project advances.
